Let’s say your money goal is to make $100k this year. To break six figures. 

 
That’s a great goal. But do you know what you need to do to get there? 

 
If you were going to drive from LA to NYC, you would need to know a few things – what kind of car you’re going to drive, what route you’re taking, where you’d refuel along the way, what to pack, what to do if you experience car trouble… 

 
You’d need a plan. 

 
And you might need some alternate routes in your back pocket in case of unexpected road closures, bad weather, emergencies, etc.

 
It’s the same thing with your money goals. 

 
You need to create a PLAN – and have resources to support you should the plan not go exactly according to… plan. :)

So what might that look like then, if we’re “planning a trip” to $100k? 
 

Route A: 
 
~Book 4 corporate consulting gigs at $25k each 

Total = $100,000
 

Route B: 
 
~Enroll 33 students for your online group course at $1,597: $52,701

~Run the course again with 32 students: $51,104

Total = $103,805
 

Route C
 
~Ask for a raise/ Look for a new better-paying job
Total = $100,000 or more
 
 
The truth is, there are infinite numbers of ways to get where you want to go. But it’s super important to look at your starting point (get clear on where you are right now) and what your goals are in order to set the path forward. 
 

Do you want to know the most important thing about your plan?

It should absolutely feel inspiring, fun and like a “Hell Yes.” Like it lights a FIRE in you.
 

If it feels like, “UGH”…. Like a heavy weight is on your shoulders – or if a wave of dread just swallowed you up… it’s time to rethink your goal.
