Subconscious Reason #2 You May Not Hit Your Money Goals

Today we’re diving into Subconscious Money Block #2 – It's the idea that you may have to give up things you love to reach your goals.

If you’re serious about hitting your money goals, there may be things you’re enjoying now that you'll be called to STOP doing in order to hit those goals.

This money block shows up as something you enjoy, but is not leading you to financial freedom.

🥴If your goal is to get out of debt, but you have a habit clicking on all the pretty emails from Anthropologie or Nordstrom and then buying things you don’t really need, you may have to give that up.

🥴If your goal is to get out a fresh, well-thought-out proposal every Monday, but you have a nightly wine habit that makes you hit the Snooze button one too many times or gives you brain fog the next day, you may have to give that up.

🥴If your goal is to 10x your business, but you get caught in the web of social media, clicking, responding, DM’ing and scrolling, you may have to give that up so you can create focused blocks of time to brainstorm and create.

As an example from my own life, I had to give up watching the news in the morning bc it was messing with my work flow (and my mindset) and I realized checking in with the news during the day was stealing time that could better be better used on money-generating activities. (👋Bye, CNN.)

Here’s the thing about these enjoyable things – they don’t always seem like obvious ways we’re sabotaging. They just feel like part of our life. So it can be hard to identify.

Also, if there’s an emotional need that’s being met through the enjoyable behavior or you’re using that behavior to NOT feel or look at something, it will be that much harder to stop.

This is why deeper work is important.

In the meantime, ask yourself:

🤔Is there a behavior or thing I like doing that I might have to stop doing if I really want to reach my goals? What might that be?

🤔Is this behavior serving my dreams? Or is it serving my comfort zone?

When you bring awareness to your pattern, you give yourself the gift of being able to make a new choice.
